I am a Filipina married to an American, living in rural Maine. This blog features our journey as we embark on this seemingly lifetime project of do-it-ourselves housebuilding.
My husband and I met on the internet after his divorce was finalized and after his house burnt. As he wrote on one of his letters to me, I brought back his faith in everything. When I finally came to the USA to join him, he had already started re-building the house -- OUR HOUSE -- in 2003. I started blogging about it in 2004. (Please see the old Tahanan.)
To date, we are still in the process of finishing the house. This blog is irregularly and quite infrequently updated, but shows comprehensively our slow progress. When we do look at the old photos, our hearts swell with pride at our achievement, since my husband and I are certainly not experts on this field.
